This box alarm occurred in an unhydranted area on the northern end of Lisle’s district. The weather was hot and humid at the time. No one was home when the fire broke out at 11:15 AM on July 1st, 2011, which may have contributed to a delayed response. The structure was a single-story "L"-shaped building, approximately 40x80 feet in size, located on Red Oak Street. Command also called for tankers to assist with water supply.
