Lake Zurich firefighters responded to a house fire at 22580 Somerset Court on Monday, May 15, 2017. Upon arrival, they discovered the garage and several vehicles engulfed in flames. Due to the lack of hydrants in the area, the alarm was escalated to a MABAS Box Alarm, which brought multiple fire engines and tankers to the scene to transport water and support the firefighting efforts.
The incident involved a coordinated response from various fire departments, including Long Grove and Fox Lake, who provided additional resources to assist in controlling the blaze. Firefighters worked tirelessly to prevent the fire from spreading to the main structure of the home.
