Although 2020 was a challenging year for many, Flyability remained incredibly active and focused on innovation. We're proud of what we achieved and are excited to share our journey with you. Before we take a look back at 2020, we want to extend our warmest wishes to all our clients, partners, prospects, and supporters around the world for a successful and inspiring 2021. The year started strong with the opening of our first U.S. office in Denver, Colorado, and ended with a major milestone: a successful Series C funding round that brought in 7 million Euros ($8.6 million USD). This investment is fueling our mission to expand drone technology for indoor environments and develop advanced software solutions for inspection tasks. The new U.S. office has allowed us to better serve our growing customer base in North America, while the additional funds will support further research and development of our drones and software tools. It's an exciting time for innovation and growth. In late 2020, we launched Inspector 3.0, a powerful tool that enables data localization on 3D maps created after each inspection flight. This feature helps inspectors pinpoint defects with precision, eliminating the guesswork involved in traditional methods. With Inspector 3.0, maintenance teams can now easily identify exactly where repairs are needed, improving efficiency and reducing downtime. With social distancing becoming the norm, we shifted our efforts online and hosted a series of informative webinars throughout the year. We began by converting our planned User Conference talks into a webinar series and continued offering content for the rest of the year. In total, we held 21 webinars, attracting over 21,000 registrants and nearly 4,000 attendees. Some of the most popular topics included: All recordings are available for you to watch anytime—browse the full list of past webinars here. Throughout 2020, we published several case studies highlighting how our drone technology is making inspections safer and more cost-effective. The TVA used the Elios 2 to inspect a scrubber at one of its power plants, significantly cutting down inspection time and improving safety. Read the full case study here. Marine Inspection Services, Ltd helped an oil tanker manager save $2 million using the Elios 2 for cargo tank inspections. Learn more about this success story here. Explore all our case studies here to see how our technology is transforming industries. Last year, we released two videos showcasing missions that pushed the limits of exploration and research. This mission took researchers to Greenland to study water movement under ice, helping understand the impact of climate change. Read more here. This mission provided critical visual data from Reactor Five at Chernobyl, which had not been entered since the 1986 disaster. Discover more here. In 2020, we continued our effort to provide valuable resources to our community. We published eleven in-depth guides covering key topics like NDT, indoor drones, and boiler inspections.
