Recently, Shenlong Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the AQSIQ. It will recall some of the 2012-2015 Citroen C4 Aircross and Peugeot 4008 series cars from July 18, 2017. According to the company's statistics, there are 19,407 vehicles in mainland China. details as follows:
(1) Part of the imported 2012-2014 Citroen C4 Aircross vehicles produced during the period from February 28, 2012 to September 11, 2014, totaling 2,171 units; production from February 28, 2012 to September 12, 2014 Part of the import of Peugeot 4008 cars in 2012-2014, a total of 5960 vehicles.
(II) Part of the imported 2012-2015 Citroen C4 Aircross vehicles produced between February 28, 2012 and October 16, 2015, totaling 3009; production from February 28, 2012 to October 16, 2015 Part of the import of Peugeot 4008 cars in 2012-2015, a total of 8,267 vehicles.
Part of the above range (1) is due to the structural defects of the resin cap of the front windshield wiper motor. Rainwater may enter the motor, which may cause internal parts to rust, jam or circuit failure, resulting in malfunction of the wiper motor. The driver's vision increases the risk of collision of the vehicle and poses a safety hazard. Shenlong Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the front windshield wiper motor assembly for vehicles within the recall range to eliminate defects.
In the above range (2), due to the manufacturer's manufacturing reasons, the anti-rust performance of the outer cylinder cover of the tailgate pneumatic support rod is insufficient. In the case of long-term salt corrosion, the outer cylinder of the pneumatic support rod may be broken when the tailgate is opened. Injury to surrounding people, there are security risks. Shenlong Automobile Co., Ltd. will inspect the vehicles within the scope of the recall and replace them with qualified tailgate pneumatic support rods free of charge to eliminate defects.
