New Franklin Park engine goes to work

The first of Franklin Parkâ€™s new fire engines is now in service. I saw Engine 1 with its brand-new rig responding to a working fire on February 14, 2013. I arrived after the fire was already under control, but I managed to capture a photo of the engine that's now fully operational.

Here are some photos from the fire at Franklin Park on Wednesday morning. You can see the new engine in action, pumping water during the incident. All images were taken by Donald Tessler.

The arrival of these new engines marks a significant upgrade for the Franklin Park Fire Department. With modern equipment and improved capabilities, the department is better prepared to respond to emergencies. It's always great to see the community come together to support local services, and these new rigs are a clear sign of progress.
