The Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Protection District is set to receive their new Pierce 105' quint next week. The truck will feature a striking black-over-red color scheme, with a black ladder that mirrors the design of the new unit currently in service in Homewood. This update marks an important step in the department’s ongoing efforts to modernize its fleet.
In addition, the first of the existing Lincolnshire-Riverwoods units to have the white roof repainted black is Engine 51, which recently returned from the paint shop. Engine 52 is scheduled for bodywork and a new black roof in the near future. This change reflects the department’s commitment to a more cohesive and updated visual identity across its fleet.
