The Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Protection District is set to receive their brand-new Pierce 105′ quint next week. The truck will feature a striking black-over-red color scheme, with a black ladder that closely resembles the new unit recently delivered to Homewood. This update marks a significant step in modernizing the department’s fleet and maintaining a consistent visual identity across their apparatus.
In addition to the new quint, the department has also begun updating its existing fleet. Engine 51 was the first unit to receive a new black roof, following the recent adoption of a new color scheme. The paint shop work is now complete, and the truck looks sharp with its fresh, bold appearance. Engine 52 is scheduled to go out for bodywork and a new black roof soon, continuing this ongoing effort to modernize and unify the look of the Lincolnshire-Riverwoods FPD’s vehicles.
