This message is from Eric Haak:

Just before 1:00 PM on Saturday, a strong and sudden thunderstorm swept over the south side of Chicago, bringing heavy rain and powerful gusts of wind. Witnesses reported a 30-second burst of wind that knocked down a large tree branch onto power lines behind a home on Longwood Drive in the Beverly neighborhood. The fire started at the base of the exterior wall and quickly spread into the attic. Firefighters arrived quickly and managed to bring the flames under control within 15 minutes. I thought I'd share these photos with those who don’t often visit this part of the city.
