SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Aug. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) announced its financial results for the second quarter of fiscal 2019 today. The company reported strong performance across several key metrics, including revenue growth and subscription plan ARR. During the second quarter of fiscal 2019, Autodesk's Subscription Plan Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) reached $1.68 billion, representing an increase of 115% compared to the same period last year. This growth was driven by continued customer demand and successful execution across the business. Additionally, the total ARR increased to $2.35 billion, a 28% rise from the previous year. The company also saw a significant increase in subscriptions, with 2.86 million active subscriptions at the end of the quarter. This reflects a net addition of 290,000 subscriptions from the first quarter of fiscal 2019. The maintenance-to-subscription program played a crucial role in this growth, as 117,000 maintenance subscribers transitioned to product subscriptions. Autodesk's revenue for the quarter was $612 million, up 22% year-over-year. Billings reached $605 million, marking a 27% increase compared to the same period last year. The company also reported positive cash flow from operating activities and expects to be cash flow positive for the year. In terms of financial outlook, Autodesk provided guidance for the third quarter and full fiscal year 2019. The company anticipates revenue between $635 million and $645 million for the third quarter, with non-GAAP earnings per share ranging from $0.24 to $0.28. For the full fiscal year, revenue is expected to be between $2,485 million and $2,505 million, with non-GAAP earnings per share between $0.87 and $0.95. Autodesk's leadership emphasized the importance of the new accounting standards, ASC 606 and ASC 340-40, which were implemented starting the first quarter of fiscal 2019. These standards did not significantly impact the timing or amount of revenue recognized but required the capitalization and amortization of sales commissions. Looking ahead, Autodesk remains confident in its ability to drive results for the remainder of the year. The company continues to focus on innovation, customer satisfaction, and long-term growth. With a strong foundation and a clear strategic direction, Autodesk is well-positioned to capitalize on emerging opportunities and maintain its leadership in the software industry.
