Dry air for breakthrough in air conditioning and refrigeration new energy development
Recently, a groundbreaking technology developed independently by China for air and water drying in air conditioning and refrigeration systems has successfully passed national acceptance, marking a significant achievement that reaches international advanced standards. Compared to traditional central air conditioning systems, this innovative cooling method not only saves over 70% of energy but also eliminates the release of harmful pollutants such as greenhouse gases, making it a more sustainable and environmentally friendly solution.
According to researchers, dry air has a higher capacity to absorb moisture. When water evaporates into vapor, it absorbs heat, thereby cooling the surrounding environment. This principle allows dry air to act as a natural cooling agent during the transition from dry to humid conditions. Field tests have demonstrated that when air at around 34°C enters the system, it exchanges heat with normal temperature water three times, causing the outlet air temperature to drop to approximately 14°C within less than two minutes. This rapid and efficient cooling process highlights the potential of this technology.
Experts emphasize that dry air can serve as a renewable and sustainable refrigeration resource. Given its effectiveness in arid environments, this technology is particularly suitable for regions like Xinjiang, Tibet, and Qinghai in China, where the climate is naturally dry. By leveraging local environmental conditions, this innovation could significantly reduce energy consumption and contribute to a greener future for cooling systems across the country.
