- 1 tablespoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons granulated garlic
- Season the tri-tip generously with sea salt, black pepper, and garlic. Make sure the seasoning is evenly distributed.
- Skewer the meat onto a rotisserie spit and let it rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.
- Place the rotisserie on your grill and ensure the meat is balanced so it rotates smoothly.
- Put a drip pan underneath the roast to catch the juices and keep your grill clean.
- Start the rotisserie motor and heat the grill. Cook on high until a nice crust forms, then reduce the heat to medium. Total cooking time should be around 20–25 minutes for medium-rare.
Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the thickest part of the roast. It should reach 135°F for medium-rare.
