How to Make a Perfect Rotisserie Tri-Tip

Looking for a mouthwatering and easy way to cook tri-tip? This rotisserie recipe is perfect for any backyard barbecue or family dinner. With just a few simple ingredients and the right technique, you can achieve a juicy and flavorful roast every time.
  • 1 (2 pounds) beef tri-tip roast
  • 1 tablespoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons granulated garlic

  1. Season the tri-tip generously with sea salt, black pepper, and garlic. Make sure the seasoning is evenly distributed.
  2. Skewer the meat onto a rotisserie spit and let it rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.
  3. Place the rotisserie on your grill and ensure the meat is balanced so it rotates smoothly.
  4. Put a drip pan underneath the roast to catch the juices and keep your grill clean.
  5. Start the rotisserie motor and heat the grill. Cook on high until a nice crust forms, then reduce the heat to medium. Total cooking time should be around 20–25 minutes for medium-rare.

Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the thickest part of the roast. It should reach 135°F for medium-rare.

Let the tri-tip rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain. Serve and enjoy this tender and delicious cut of beef!
